Absolute vertical record - Helicopter

Chris Kent, a Calgary native, not only set the individual world record for most vertical feet skied in one day at the now defunct 24 Hours of Aspen in 1991, that still stands today,(271,161 feet, 83 laps on Ajax), but he also set the absolute vertical world record.

On 29 April 1998, Chris alongside fellow Canadians Edi Podivinsky, Luke Sauder and Dominique Perret from Switzerland, managed to ski 107.777 meters (353,599 feet) by taking 73 helicopter trips in less than 15 hours, at Blue River, BC.

The female skier record holder is Jennifer Hughes (USA) who, just earlier, on April 20, 1998 tallied 93.124 meters (305,524 feet.) Then there are us, the lowly guys who think we hold some kind of local record...
