Chris Kent, a Calgary native, became one of Canada’s youngest skiers to finish in the Top 5 at a World Cup downhill. After spending seven years on the Canadian alpine ski team he retired in 1986 and turned his focus to alternative ski competitions.Earn
ing the nickname ‘Superman’ at the now defunct 24 Hours of Aspen where in 1991, he set the individual world record for most vertical feet skied in one day, that still stands (271,161 feet, 83 laps on Ajax.)
